Roofers from TectaAmerica, based in Sanford, were on-site early this morning, Jan. 5, to load up materials in preparation for re-roofing of Conrad Realty Co.'s building at 112 W. New York Ave. in Downtown DeLand. The new 9,000 square-foot polyester-membrane roof will set the stage for installation, probably in February, of a 50-kilowatt solar-energy system. The solar installation will be handled by SolarTrek of Gainesville and SolarFit of Holly Hill. First Green Bank in Eustis is financing the project.
